Downtown Middleport
We have unique shopping opportunities in our downtown area. We have “Danielle’s” (specialty discount clothing store), Ohio River Bear Company, Radio Shack, and several great Antique Stores.
During the Summer Season we also have Mitch’s Nursery (spring and summer months).
There are many activities that occur throughout the year arranged by the Middleport Community Association. You can view the scheduled Events for the year by visiting their site.
Middleport Marina
The Marina has so much to offer.
Here you can go Kayaking, Fishing or Have a picnic.
There will be a NEW Multi-Use Trail for walking or bicycling and New Hiking trailheads at the Marina.
We are also in the works of having a history trail which tells the history of the underground railroad in our area and much more.
Do you have a Kayak or Canoe and want a new and interesting place to go?
Start out at the Middleport Marina and take a trip up Leading Creek or down to the Ohio River. Then you could continue onward up or down the Beautiful Ohio River.

From Leading Creek Marina boat Ramp to:
Shady Cove Landing is .9 miles
Ohio River is .7 miles
Middleport Ohio River Access is 2.65 miles
Pomeroy Ohio River Access is 4.6 miles
Mason, WV Ohio River Access is 4.6 miles
Syracuse Ohio River Access is 9 miles
Racine Ohio River Access is 13 miles
A very nice and scenic little trip is starting at Leading Creek Marina and head to Shady Cove Landing then turn around and go to the Ohio River, turn around and go back to Leading Creek Marina. The total trip is 3.2 miles or longer if you travel upstream past shady cove. You can make a afternoon or day out of it depending on how leisurely you travel and if you take time for a lunch.

McDonalds Dock is 1.2 miles
Wildhorse Restaurant Dock is 1.5 miles
KFC/Long John Silvers Dock is 1.6 miles
Pomeroy Ohio River Access is 1.95 miles
Currently there are no Kayak or Canoe rentals in Middleport, but may in the near future.
